The latest check IT+ addresses many design issues currently outside of the scope of the TG20:08 'Basic Scaffold check', thus proving even more (typical) scaffolds fully comply with the latest guidance without the expense of an engineer's fees!

Whilst SMART Scaffolder check IT only passes scaffolds that fall within TG20:08 Volume 1, SMART Scaffolder check IT+ is a new module that passes more Basic Scaffolds than TG20 alone using the design guidance from TG20:08 Volume 2.

Many everyday scaffolds that do not match the TG20 Basic Scaffold definition can be passed with check IT+, avoiding the need for a formal design. Some of the scaffolds that can now pass the TG20 Volume 2 checks using check IT+ are detailed below.

Scaffolds:

Partially-boarded independent scaffolds with any combination of boarded lifts, non-boarded lifts, and ladder-access landings, unlike check IT that will only pass fully boarded or two boarded lifts as per TG:20 Volume 1.
Independent scaffolds with any combinations of guard rails, even with triple guard rails and inner rails, have you ever tried adding Inner Guard rails to check IT
Fully-loaded independent scaffolds (without sheeting or debris netting).
Aluminium independent scaffolds (without sheeting or debris netting).
You can even now reduce your bay spacing to pass a heavily-loaded scaffold!
Very lightly loaded scaffolding can be built more than three boards wide, check IT is tied to TG20:08 Volume 1 so cannot!
